Pastor Jenkins was saved at the age of 15 in his home state of Wyoming at Grace Bible Baptist Church. Soon thereafter he felt the Lord call him to the ministry, and he began serving actively in his local church. At the age of 17 he joined the US Army National Guard and became a crew chief for UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters. While in the Army National Guard, he attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. After graduation, he returned to Wyoming, serving as Assistant Pastor at Douglas Baptist Church. Soon, he felt God calling him to the small town of Central City, Nebraska, where he planted Central City Baptist Church. While there, he had the opportunity to replant Solid Rock Baptist Church in Grand Island, Nebraska, pastoring both churches for a time. In 2015, Pastor Jenkins accepted the call of God to pastor Memorial Independent Baptist Church in Landis, North Carolina. Under his leadership the church was renamed Chapel Street Baptist Church and has grown numerically and spiritually. He and his wife Katie were married in 2006 and have 5 children.
