Disclaimer
It is not our desire that any person go into debt in order to give to the Lord through our church. The Bible says in Proverbs 22:7, "The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender." The Bible also teaches us that our tithe consists of the first 10% of what God has given us. So we would therefore ask that you do not indebt yourself to tithe on what God has not yet given you. Thank you.
How to Give
To give through our website, click the "Give" link above. This will take you to the giving popup. You can create an account or login to your account by clicking the buttons in the upper right hand corner, allowing you to save methods of payment for future use. To give, type in the amount you would like to give, and select which fund (tithe and offerings, missions, etc.) you would like to give to. Currently, the website only allows you to give to one fund per donation. If you would like to donate to multiple funds, you will have to do so through the Tithe.ly app, which is linked below.
After you have inputed your amount, fund, contact information, payment method, and memo designation if you are giving a special offering, you can select Give. You will see a receipt and receive a confirmation email that your gift was successful.
The Tithe.ly App
To give on the go with the Tithe.ly app, first you must download the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store by clicking the link below. Upon downloading the app, you will be asked to create an account and input a preferred payment method. After this a screen will appear that will ask you to find your church. You can search for Chapel Street Baptist Church in the search bar, or select "Find Nearest Church" and scroll until you see our church's name. From here you will have the option to "Give Now." This will take you to a webpage where you can give as you would on the website. However, on the app you are able to give to multiple funds in one donation. To add a fund, tap the + icon right above the "Bank" icon. This will open another line of giving from which you can select a different fund. Once you have set up each of the funds you want to give to, continue inputting your payment and contact info as normal, followed by "Give."
